Hey y’all! Welcome to my website! So glad you’re here — I’m Clarissa Yanta and for my first blog post I wanted to give you a little glimpse into who I am, what I love and how fitness and nutrition has helped shape who I am today!
To start with, I am a pharmaceutical sales representative who has always had a passion for fitness. A few years ago I decided to take a leap and get certified in personal training. It was scary at first, but after seeing how many people I have already helped in such a short amount of time I wouldn’t change that decision for anything. I am still in pharmaceutical sales, but I have found a great balance with that and training. I have online clients from all over the United States that I help hit and exceed their fitness and nutrition goals as well as in-person clients that I get to work with on a weekly basis that I absolutely adore. Life is crazy busy sometimes, but honestly I wouldn’t want it any other way 😊
I am a wife to my husband Weston, and honestly I wouldn’t be typing this blog post if it wasn’t for him. He was the one that pushed me to follow my dreams of becoming a personal trainer. He pushed me to start my own business. Honestly he is the business! He does all the not-so-fun things when it comes to our business. He definitely gets the title of COO with all the work he has put in to this 😉 He continues to push me on a daily basis to be the best version of me I can possible be. He believes in me when I start doubting myself. He is my biggest cheerleader. I am just so lucky to have him as my partner in life and in business!
Enough mushy stuff, back to why I love doing what I do….
I am extremely passionate about helping whoever I can learn how to love themselves, from beginning to end. You shouldn’t exercise or eat healthy because you hate your body! You should exercise and eat healthy because you LOVE your body! I am determined to show anyone I can how to properly fuel and nourish their bodies to get the results that they deserve while looking and feeling their best. That to me is what true beauty and true confidence is all about. It’s about being healthy and happy! It’s about setting new goals and achieving them. It’s about focusing just as much on your physical well-being as your mental and emotional well-being.
My personal journey with fitness has changed slowly from a more cardio based training style (hello college cardio bunny life) to more resistance based (HIIT, weight training circuits and cardio, just in smaller doses). Through the years my desire to share these workouts with men and women has grown tremendously. I know that gyms and weight training can be very intimidating at first. Especially, when you have never done it before! So my main goal is to help you approach both of these things with complete and utter confidence!
The other way I want to help you along your fitness journey is to help you create a BALANCE between your physical goals and the rest of your day to day life. I know that no amount of education and no amount of researching will ever give us a direct answer on how to find that balance, but I can help you to the best of my ability through personal experiences and from knowledge I have gained while helping clients.
In our world today, there are so many feelings attached to body image and confidence as well as misconceptions surrounding food and diets. Trust me, I have heard it all at this point! I know it can all be very confusing. Doesn’t it seem like there is a new fad diet or new fad workout thrown at us on a daily basis?! Again, so confusing! That is why I want to make sure I can address any questions you may have when it comes to which diet or workout is best for you and your body with both science and human reasoning.
Long story short, I truly believe that caring for yourself and building self-confidence through a healthy lifestyle is the key to feeling unstoppable!
